We’re seeking a Senior Corporate Accountant to join our team and help us manage the financial operations of our casino businesses across international markets. If you’re an experienced accounting professional who’s excited to work with a fast-growing company , we want to hear from you!
What you will do:
As the Senior Corporate Accountant, you will occupy a highly significant and influential position within our organisation. Despite its seemingly modest title, this role is integral to safeguarding the accuracy and timeliness of our financial reporting, making it an indispensable part of our business operations.
Due to the significance of your position, the company has ambitious plans to build a dedicated team around you. Our story:
Easygo is a well-established tech startup, we pride ourselves on being early adopters, progressive in our approach and adaptable to the ever-changing technology landscape. Our core focus is in the online gaming space building well-designed casino games, crypto platforms, and sportsbooks. The products we build are used by millions of people around the world and you’ll see their logos on an EPL team, the UFC, advocated by e-gamers and in a number of other sporting places.
The last 2 years have been huge for us, we have grown from 20 to 180+ team members. Whilst the products that we build are global, the majority of the team sits in Melbourne at our Australian headquarters in the heart of the CBD where we have 2 amazing offices in the same building with all the bells and whistles you could ever want including an in-house barista, pool, and table tennis tables, PS5 and Nintendo Switches, a meditation room, help yourself drinks fridge and snack wall, catered breakfast daily, weekly massages and a pub lunch.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Deliver the end-to end accounting tasks and proactively identify transactions, balances and processes requiring technical review
Assist with the implementation of accounting standards, policies, procedures, control frameworks, prompt reporting and resolving gaps/key risks
Foster a data repository and be the main point of contact for information request
Manage the preparation of the audited annual and interim consolidated financial statements in accordance with the relevant accounting standards and the relevant regulatory disclosure requirements
Work with other finance team members for tax reporting, budgeting, intercompany transactions, audit and treasury management
Cooperate with the other teams in M&A or other projects as required across the group for due diligence and deal arrangements
Establishing strong connections with various internal and external stakeholders, mentoring junior members in the team
Requirements
You’re perfect for this role if
Minimum of 5 years financial and management accounting experience, CPA/CA qualified
Sound knowledge of financial control, reporting and accounting principles and practises
A high degree of flexibility and the ability to prioritise work
It would be a bonus if you also had (Desirable skills):
Sports & Gambling knowledge advantageous
Cryptocurrency knowledge would be advantageous
Proficient with Google Suite (Drive, Spreadsheets, Docs), Slack, Airtable & Intercom
Australian work rights are preferred
