We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Project Manager to take ownership of the technology roadmap delivery at our organization.

This role is a 100% remote role.

Your profile

Position Overview:

As the Technical Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the successful planning, execution, and timely delivery of projects related to our technology roadmap. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, utilizing tools like ZenHub, to ensure that deadlines are met, priorities are clear, and daily tasks are efficiently managed. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a proven track record in program management, and the ability to drive technology initiatives to successful completion within scope, schedule, and budget.

Responsibilities:

Technology Roadmap Management:

Take full ownership of the technology roadmap and work closely with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and timelines.
Develop a clear and comprehensive program plan that aligns with the strategic goals of the organization.

ZenHub Implementation and Utilization:

Implement and effectively utilize ZenHub or similar project management tools to plan, track, and manage project progress and deliverables.
Work with teams to ensure ZenHub is utilized efficiently and serves as a central hub for program-related information.

Deadline and Milestone Management:

Set clear deadlines and milestones for project deliverables and ensure that they are met by closely monitoring progress and providing necessary support to teams.
Proactively identify potential delays or roadblocks and work with stakeholders to implement corrective actions.

Weekly Priorities and Daily Task Management:

Collaborate with team leads to establish weekly priorities, ensuring alignment with the overall program objectives.
Facilitate daily stand-up meetings or check-ins to ensure team members are on track with their tasks and address any issues hindering progress.

Resource Allocation and Budget Management:

Work with resource management teams to allocate appropriate resources to projects and ensure they have the necessary tools and support for success.
Monitor program budget, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure cost-effectiveness throughout the program.

Stakeholder Communication:

Establish strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, including engineering, product, and executive teams, to keep them informed of project status, risks, and any necessary adjustments to the roadmap.

Risk Management and Issue Resolution:

Facilitate effective issue resolution by working closely with team leads and relevant stakeholders.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
Proven experience (5+ years) in project management, with a focus on technology projects and roadmap project management.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of building and motivating high-performing teams.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience working directly with engineers.
Expertise in utilizing project management tools like ZenHub or similar tools for planning, tracking, and reporting project progress.
Solid understanding of software development processes and agile methodologies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of effectively collaborating with stakeholders at all levels.
PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is desirable but not mandatory.
