Job Description

Our team is seeking a Bitcoin Mining Applications Engineer to join our team to reshape the future of the bitcoin industry. You will be exposed to the end-to-end technology chain that we are creating from the high-performance ASIC with the latest silicon fab technologies to full system hardware and software. You will help us integrate, test and validate Block’s bitcoin mining products to support our mining customers. You will have experience in field application engineering support for High Performance Computing (HPC) systems, with a focus on hardware. The Bitcoin Mining Applications Engineer will collaborate with our customers in designing, integrating, and debugging mining rigs using Block’s Mining Development Kit (MDK) and Block’s high-performance mining ASIC products. This will include working with customers on system requirements definition, providing technical and domain expertise to co-create and help them solve their toughest challenges. These challenges also include helping with system design, component selection, schematic design, and embedded firmware support. You will also work closely with the design team to develop a plan to validate electrical and system characterization of the designs and products. You will have the opportunity to develop interesting and innovative ideas into prototypes around bitcoin mining operations.

You Will:
Provide hands-on engineering support for industrial mining customers, including on-site debugging and live demonstrations of Block’s latest mining products
Diagnose and resolve hardware issues related to mining rigs, including those related to power systems and setups
Validate electrical testing and system characterization of designs/products in collaboration with the design team
Support both new and existing mining products, with a focus on hardware development and design
Collaborate with customers on system requirements definition, components selection, and schematic design
Familiarity with high power delivery circuit, electronics systems, electronics diagnostic equipment, system design and integration experience, firmware design and implementation
You will report to our AE/CS Lead for Bitcoin Mining

Qualifications

You Have:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
Hands-on engineering experience with electronics systems and electronics diagnostic equipment (e.g. oscilloscope, logic analyzers, power analyzer, board rework)
Knowledge of high power delivery circuit, system design and integration, firmware design and implementation
Worked with customers and the design team to develop and validate designs/products
Willingness to travel to customers for on-site debugging and live demonstrations
Digital and Mixed Signal Circuits Analysis and Design experience
Experience with circuit analysis and design and CAD schematic
