A pioneering fintech company is on a mission to revolutionize the payments landscape by harnessing cutting-edge blockchain technology and crypto advancements. With a focus on creating a stack of payment solutions that enable permissionless, global, and seamless payments, the company challenges traditional models dominated by established card schemes and legacy banking systems. The organization, established in September 2022 and backed by prominent crypto and fintech investors, is headquartered in London and is expanding its presence in Latam markets. They are seeking a skilled General Manager to lead their regional initiatives.
About the role:
The General Manager for Latam markets will assume a versatile role, responsible for driving product launch, business growth, and market adaptation. This position necessitates fluency in Spanish and a background in payments or fintech.
Key Responsibilities:
You will:
Conduct comprehensive market research to grasp customer needs and challenges within the Latam region.
Lead the launch of our product in Latam markets, beginning with Mexico.
Form and oversee a local team dedicated to supporting regional growth.
Establish and manage significant Payment Service Provider (PSP) partnerships and develop direct sales and digital growth channels.
Collaborate closely with the Product team to tailor the product for local market requirements.
Take charge of efforts to ensure compliance with local regulatory standards.
Identify and pursue opportunities to leverage crypto rails within the market.
Requirements:
You will need:
3-5 years of experience in payments, fintech, or related domains.
Proficiency in the Spanish language.
A keen interest in crypto payments, stablecoins, and cross-border finance.
An entrepreneurial mindset, embracing various responsibilities.
Strong leadership, team-building, and management abilities.
Residency in Mexico.

It would be beneficial to have:
Previous involvement in blockchain or crypto projects.
Familiarity with the Latam payments landscape.
A well-established network within the payments, fintech, or crypto industries.
