Role Overview

We are looking forward to meeting Junior Data Engineer to cooperate on data migration and integration. As a Data Team in Ramp, we are growing and building a new Data Platform on Google Cloud Platform. In our team, you can learn Python, SQL, Airflow, Data modelling and all other Data engineering things. We are looking for passionate people who want to learn more about the data engineering area and want to be a part of a high experience team. In addition to a good atmosphere, we can provide a development path and a mentoring program to allow quick onboarding.

Your future work will include:

In general, technical supporting of data strategy implementation, in particular:
Utilising best practices in Data Warehouse to reduce complexity and costs, using DBT, SQL, Python, Airflow, and GitHub on the Google Cloud Platform
Ingesting data ingestions into the cloud data warehouse (BigQuery)
Supporting of integration of different data sources (Google Analytics; transactional data; SFTP; public datasets using APIs, webhooks) into BigQueryOptimising performance, monitoring and improving data qualityImplement a data governance

 

Tech stack: Google Cloud Platform, BigQuery, Cloud Composer, DBT, Terraform, Datahub, Github

What we are looking for in candidates:

Being friendly and professional; excited by the possibilities of working on the intersection of FinTech and blockchain (no blockchain experience required)
Readiness to work (!) in a rapidly scaling up startup. It is not about work for the sake of work – we are directly contributing to the success of our product. We are growing fast and want to keep users as happy as possible
6 months of experience as a Data Engineer or proven self-development in this area (GitHub/Datacamp/Self-development)Knowledge of Python, SQL
Blockchain or fintech-related experience is a plus
Understanding the concept of Modern Data Warehouse, Data Lake, Data Lakehouse. Experience in BigQuery, Cloud Composer, and DBT is a plus
Experience in integration of different data sources (Google Analytics; transactional data; SFTP; public datasets using APIs, webhooks) into BigQuery is a plus

Discovery interview with a recruiter (20 minutes)
