DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Proactively adapt to a fast-paced, ever-changing financial environment
• Oversee all financial operations and guide financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures
• Leverage data analysis and performance/operation metrics to drive decision-making
• Liaise with various business functions such as HR, Finance, Payments, etc. to ensure cohesive business operations
• Demonstrate strong supervisory and client service skills
• Apply aptitude for decision-making and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment
• Compile financial statements and handle taxation matters
• Display outstanding organisational and leadership abilities
THE IDEAL ‘OVEXIAN’ FOR THIS ROLE WILL HAVE:
• An accounting or finance degree from a leading university
• CA(SA) / membership to professional accounting board
• Experience in a banking, financial services, or payments processing environment is beneficial
• A strong work ethic, with a demonstrable hunger for growth
• Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, PowerBI, or other data analysis tools is a major advantage
• Understanding of IT and business infrastructure
• Previous experience at a large international accounting firm is preferred
• Proven experience as a financial manager or accountant is beneficial but not mandatory
• A solid understanding of various business functions such as HR, Finance, Payments, etc
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
