The opportunity:

 

We are looking for a Blockchain Investigator, who will play a critical role in identifying and analyzing digital transactions and activities on blockchain networks to detect potential fraudulent, illegal, or suspicious activities.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Handle and review assigned cases within the available SLAs, advising relevant critical stakeholders on the next steps
Maintain team escalation log and ensure all escalations to the team are promptly reviewed and resolved within the SLA
Maintain organisation’s client off-boarding log and support client off-boarding process where required by liaising with the internal stakeholders
Based on grounds for suspicion or requirement for guidance concerning a case, escalate accordingly to the team lead and MLRO
Partner with relevant internal stakeholders to strengthen the overall quality of SARs and ensure consistency and accuracy
Participate in internal and external regulatory program related to AML/ CFT and other subjects that may form part of the day-to-day work requirements.
Any general administration and ancillary activities may be required and related to the above functions per the organisation’s business requirements
 

Qualifications:

 

At least 5 years prior experience in risk management or compliance roles
A compliance certification with CAMS, ICA, Chainalysis or Elliptic
Greater attention to detail to identify and correct risky practices
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Strong knowledge of crypto industry protocols and best practices
Strong analytical skills and ability to accurately interpret complex documents and policies
Solid time management, organisational skills, and ability to meet deadlines
Experience working on AML/CTF Business Risk Assessments
Experience working on MLRO and Compliance support
Sanctions-related experience
Proficient in compliance applications and programs such as Chainalysis, Elliptic, Thomson Reuters World-Check, etc.
Excellent knowledge of provisions of local jurisdictional laws, directives, and regulations and knowledge of upcoming regulation of virtual currency policies is a significant plus
